YLAC is responsible for the administering of AzVMA's mentorship program. AzVMA has partnered with Midwestern University (MWU) to pair veterinarians with students at the College of Veterinary Medicine at MWU, based on their similar field of interest. This program has been created to offer students guidance through their veterinary program and into their field of study. For additional information email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Quality CE Workshops
We enlist the feedback of students to provide relevant continuing education workshops in an effort to assist preparing them for their careers.
Community Outreach Efforts
YLAC conducts outreach to the public about the importance of regular veterinary care for pets. Volunteers distribute Pet Resource Directories at community fairs and events. Directories contain AzVMA member-hospitals & clinics, information on emergency & mobile clinics, frequently asked questions & answers about basic animal care, and Arizona-specific diseases & conditions.
