Dear One Health Partner,
The U.S. Antibiotic Awareness Week (USAAW) is observed each year from November 18th–24th to provide education and raise awareness on the importance of appropriate antibiotic and antifungal use, and the threat antimicrobial resistance (AMR) poses to people, animals, plants, and our shared environment. For the 2025 USAAW, the theme is “Fighting Antimicrobial Resistance Takes All of Us.” This year has a specific day, November 22nd, dedicated to a One Health approach for addressing AMR.
On behalf of the Maricopa County Department of Public Health (MCDPH), we are reaching out to provide awareness of this upcoming national One Health initiative and to share resources for promoting USAAW.
