Core Values

We appreciate that learning to trust and respect each other is a fundamental part of our success and is the foundation for the Allied Group.

We are aware that our personal behavior is a reflection of our professionalism.

We strive to maintain and advance our clinical/professional expertise and share that with our veterinary community.

We foster positive, collaborative relationships and interactions with fellow industry representatives as well as the AZVMA Staff, Board, and VHCTAz.

We understand that our individual engagement and involvement in this group is integral to the success of the Allied Program.

We recognize, respect, and value the diversity of this group as a source of strength.

Professionalism is not just about appearance or a code of conduct. It is about having a dedication and commitment to higher standards, values, and self-improvement. Professionalism is a built-in guidance system for always doing and being the best that you can be.

  1. Products and services must be directly related to the business of veterinarians and veterinary hospitals and not adversely affect the practice of or economics of veterinary medicine.
  2. Company services cannot include any activity that constitutes the practice of veterinary medicine as defined by the Arizona Revised Statues, unless performed by a licensed Arizona veterinarian.
  3. Companies that provide medical services to animals must have a written prescription for each animal upon which any procedure is being performed, and must work exclusively under the direct or indirect supervision of a licensed veterinarian.
  4. Company must be licensed to do business in the state of Arizona, must comply with all state and local laws and ordinances, and must have been serving the veterinary profession for at least three years, or has an established reputation in the Arizona veterinary community with a sufficient history upon which to evaluate qualifications for membership.
  1. The membership list is for your use only and may not be sold or transferred to other interests.
  2. When contacting members, please do not represent yourself as being “from the AzVMA”. You may state that you are an allied industry member, but AzVMA does not endorse any products or service.
  3. Please be aware that many practices have multiple veterinarians. You can sort the list by hospital so you do not have to make several calls to the same office.
  4. When contacting veterinary offices, consider asking for the office manager as veterinarians are busy seeing patients and are often not accessible.
  5. Please refrain from aggressive marketing techniques that could be conceived as harassment.
  6. Please consult the Allied Industry Code of Ethics and conduct your communications accordingly.
  7. Please report any known violations/abuses of the above policies to the AzVMA to protect the integrity of those allied members who conduct themselves in an ethical respectful and professional manner.
