Volunteer Opportunities

Become an integral part of the growth of the veterinary community by serving on a committee and seeing your ideas come to life! The commitment is minimal compared to the reward. In most cases, it requires attendance at 2-4 meetings a year, that generally last for an hour and a half. Invest in yourself and your veterinary community by demonstrating leadership in the profession!
Academy Committee

Provides an opportunity for members to complete their licensing requirements and be recognized for educational excellence. Oversees the Arizona Academy of Veterinary Practice that is comprised of AzVMA Academy members who complete a rigorous series of continuing education courses to qualify for membership. Open to AzVMA (veterinarian) members.

Allied Industry Committee

Comprised of Allied Industry representatives, this committee plans networking events and business education programs for AzVMA members. Open to Allied Industry members.

Independent Business Committee

Explores issues for small business owners, plans continuing education programs on business-related topics, and compiles resources and tools for independent veterinary practices. Open to AzVMA (veterinarian) members.

Well-Being Committee

Develops programs and resources for the veterinary community to aid in promoting well-being. Open to all members.

Young Leaders Advisory Council

Develops programs and services to help recent graduates with the challenges of starting out in practice and provides opportunities for them to get involved in association activities and projects. Open to AzVMA Student (veterinary students) and Recent Graduate (veterinarian) members.

How to Get Involved

AzVMA members are encouraged to become actively involved on a committee. Committees meet several times a year depending on their projects. This is an easy way to meet other association members and make a difference in our veterinary community. If you are interested in joining a committee, please submit the short interest form below. For more information contact the AzVMA at 602-242-7936, or email us at office@azvma.org.
